International Day of Persons with Disabilities: December 3, 2020

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is a United Nations-sanctioned day celebrated internationally on December 3rd. It increases awareness of the benefits of inclusion of people with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic, and cultural life.

This year, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be commemorated throughout the week of November 30 - December 4, 2020, in conjunction with the 13th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The 2020 theme is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”.
